All in all this was an ok trip but not the luxurious birthday treat I'd wanted for my boyfriend. The spa facilities were fine and good overall but it had quite a basic, small pool and the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi were good. The massage itself was extremely basic, she didn't use any pressure at all and the room just felt cold with no nice candles or relaxing ambience that I've experienced before. I didn't even feel like I'd had a massage afterwards. Dinner at the hotel was fine and the food was good but service was very slow despite there being very few people in the restaurant. We had to wait quite a while for drinks and so did the ONLY other table that were in our half of the restaurant... we had to give the staff a nudge and so did they. The hotel room was clean and comfy with a great TV but unfortunately this was where we experienced the worst part of our stay. We were awoken out of our sleep at 7am by an extremely loud fire alarm, and after going out of the room to investigate we realised it was not a hotel wide alarm but just our room. We called reception and to their credit they came up very quickly. The lady then got one of the dressing room chairs and stood on it to get into the roof of the room and stop the alarm. She then proceeded to tell us that hair spray or deodorant must have set it off because the ventilation isn't great in the room - we hadn't used any because we were asleep and even so when we did use deoderant which was at around 7pm the night before ... we didn't use an excessive amount. We also hadn't showered since that time. They just seemed to take no responsibility whatsoever for this and blamed us. In a daze it was then that we decided we were going to write a review. As if it couldn't get much worse - we came back from breakfast which I should add was the best part of our stay (great food and the best selection of juices I've experienced) decided to take a nap and at about 11am were woken by an even louder alarm which sounded like a school fire drill. Again we went out to see if it was a hotel wide drill, we were convinced it was because it was so much louder and then it stopped itself. Check out at 12 couldn't have come sooner and again I mentioned how bad it was and was brushed off again from the receptionists. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and definitely not the spa unless you are after a bed for the night and nothing more.
great massage with friendly staff Spa facilities very nice but a lot of families in the pool area both days so wasn't as relaxing as it could have been! Breakfast and dinner very nice - they've just introduced a carvery that was really tasty! Room was also very nice but the hotel is quite far outside of Bracknell - taxi required!
I'm afraid to say my friend and I were rather disappointed with our 'pamper' trip to the Hilton Bracknell. When we arrived it was obvious to see the hotel was rather dated but inside seemed clean and the staff friendly. We went up to our room but found that the bed was rickety and felt unsafe so asked to change rooms, we waited a while but the staff were able to find us a new room. Our pamper break included a 2 course meal in the restaurant which we were looking forward to because we had read a few good reviews. When we were seated we told that because we had an inclusive deal we were entitled to the buffet they had on or if we didn't want that we had a budget of £14.60 to spend on the menu but there wasn't a main course on the menu less than £15!!!??? There was bus parties in the hotel and the buffet seemed to be to cater for them and we were not told until we sat down that we would not bet getting our 2 course meal that was expected. We questioned this with the manager and got told that this was what they did when they were busy and we were actually getting a better deal which I completely disagreed with. The morning after we were booked in for our facial's and looked forward to this and relaxing for the day around the pool with a few magazines. Our facials were lovely and so we went through to the pool area for a lounge, there were only 2 loungers which were being used so we asked for a couple more but were told that is all there were so we had to sit on benches? Not the relaxing day by the pool we had had envisaged! I would in no way describe this as a spa hotel. This was a health club with a treatment room. Between this and the ordeal at dinner the night before we were really disappointed with our weekend break and don't feel we got what was described in our deal
It was fantastic
Amazing value!
