I came in at 3.30PM today for a pre-booked Sports Massage.
Firstly, the masseuse was 20 minutes late.
I had been pre-warned, after I was undressed and ready that she would be a few minutes late but 20 is quite a lot more than a few minutes.
When she eventually did start at 3.50PM she started giving a foot massage, even though I had confirmed with her I was having a 30 minute sports massage. I flagged about 5 minutes in that she was clearly confused and she went out to confirm that I indeed had booked a sports massage and the receptionist confirmed with her that is what she had been told.
So now at 4PM she started the massage but this was absolutely not a sports massage in any way. She just massaged my back and shoulders. Not asking about the exercise I do, where tension was, if I had any injuries (luckily I did not or there would have been a chance she would have made it worse) and didn’t even touch my calves, quads or glutes which is key for any athlete looking for a sports massage to aid their recovery.
I got 25 minutes of a 30 minute booked massage.
I get Sports Massage’s regularly as I am a semi-pro athlete. It was my first time trying you for sports and it’s safe to say I won’t be coming back.
The managers only response when bringing up my unsatisfaction was 'you got 15 minutes free' which is not correct. I got a 5 minute incorrect foot massage on one foot... and then 25 minutes of a shoulder massage.

Really good massage. Couples room was downstairs. Could hear people walking around in the reception area above but it wasn’t too distracting.
