This was my returning visit using the deal on Wahanda and I do strongly feel it is fantastc value for money. I was however less pleased with my haircut this time, I felt that my instructions were clear to just 'freshen' up the hair and managed to come away with a lot more layers which is always a no no! My advice, be clear about layers!
I wouldn't highly recommend this service. Apart from the products used, the experience itself was nothing special. I would definitely reconsider visiting the place again.
I had highlights done by Fiona (style director) last winter. I had asked for golden brown highlights, as my hair is dark I asked her advice what colour to go for as I wanted a natural look (my hair does lighten when on holiday). I told her I have had it done before and it turned an orange colour, after the consultation she actually put a colour on my hair and it did turn out orange!!! I had also asked for a haircut and asked if she take her time shaping the long fringe around my my face and she didn't do that also. I phoned the salon back after 2 days and spoke to the owner, who booked me in other other appointment and was very sympathetic and said Fiona will rectify it. When I met with her the second time, she said she would only put a toner on it and was not happy with putting another colour on it or correcting it, which I found very rude, the owner wasn't their so I couldn't speak with him, in the end she gave my money back but turning a customer away unhappy, just goes to show what sort of Salon it is. I would never use this Salon again, especially have an appointment with Fiona, she doesn't know nothing about `style'` or `colour'.
I booked a haircut by a Style Director, hoping for a much better haircut than a stylist could offer. When I got to the venue, my booking didnt show on the system, but this did not pose a problem and after a short wait (10 minutes) i was introduced to my hair dresser (Chervonne i think). She washed, cut, and dried my hair in 35 minutes. Though she was very pleasant and friendly, i felt my treatment was rushed because there was another customer waiting. I didn't get any proper finishing done to my haircut, not did the style director use any products to set the blow dry or share ways/ideas of styling the cut. Although the haircut is good, its not great or exceptional. For this reason, I wouldn't think it was worth the money for a Style Director, or maybe perhaps my treatment suffered because of using a voucher?
The blow dry was ok, but I wouldn't use this salon again. My hair was still soapy after shampooing and the stylist had an uninterested attitude.
