I booked online to get gel infills as it was one of the only places that was open on a Sunday evening. I prepaid the £32 but when I arrived at the salon I was asked to pay an extra £20 to have gels, despite this already being included in the price. I was left in a difficult situation as there was nowhere else to go on a Sunday evening. I was even insultingly told that it’s normally £14 for gel infills, to which i replied ‘and you’re charging me £50’ and she just laughed. Definitely will not be booking here again.

I really don’t enjoy leaving less than positive reviews however I rely on them myself so feel it’s only fair to be honest about the service I received. The receptionist was lovely making me tea on arrival. The nail tech arrived 15 mins late which didn’t bother me but may bother someone on a tight schedule. The removal of my previous gel nails was fine. However my new gel manicure was mediocre at best. Didn’t remove my cuticles or dead skin which resulted in her trying to do it as she painted my nails. All my nails were filed differently and badly in odd shapes. When I pointed it out she was visibly annoyed. When it came to painting I’m 99% sure the colour I chose wasn’t used - she said it just looks different as the sample nails have been left in the sun which may be true but in this case I think they need to make new samples. The paint was so badly done after a few nails (blotchy and uneven) I asked her to remove it and just use a clear polish so you couldn’t see the mess. This place has reasonable prices for the area but ultimately I think it’s a bit of a false economy and would suggest going somewhere else.
