Staff are helpful. Spa facilities are good but small so gets over crowded. Food was good. Room needed redecorating. It was very hot and being on the ground floor you couldn't open the window as it only opens wide so no good for security. There is no sound proofing so could here every step the people upstairs took and every time someone passed on the corridor you could here every word. So got very little sleep

Booked this stay for the Valentine's day weekend and was thoroughly disappointed to find out (having checked the spa treatment providers facebook, twitter and hotel website!) that treatments would not be provided on the Sunday from 2pm and the entirety of the following week.

The staff were wonderfully friendly and accommodating however which salvaged the stay.

The spa facilities themselves are good if a little small for the capacity of the hotel. One steam room, one sauna, one jacuzzi and large pool with children's paddling pool attached. At any one time each of these can probably be used by 4-6 people.

The rooms are clean and well furnished and the food at the restaurant/brasserie was well portioned and flavoursome.

All in all a great place to stay if you just want to get away from it all, but probably not somewhere to go for special occasions.

The Mecure really is a lovely hotel and for the price we got it, we were amazed. What really made it for us was the staff. Emma the manager and her colleague Toni were simply fantastic and every other member of staff we interacted with were just as helpful and friendly. Dinner was amazing and breakfast was delicious, so fresh! We were lucky enough to have a Studio suite which was amazing. The swimming pool was massive for a hotel and the jacuzzi, steam and sauna did a great job of relaxing my wife and I. It's located well and we can't recommend this hotel enough!!

we booked the hotel because it said spa retreat and pamper however; the therapist was not available for the days we were in the hotel; so were not able to access any therapies or treatments. We let the hotel staff know this and were apologetic. They gave us a complimentary drink each. The staff were very helpful and engaging.

We had two night leisure spa break in this hotel. The location was great for us from East-London.After the check in we went into the room, but we had to ask the other room, because the shower curtain was really dirty!Anyway we got an another room.We were happy with that. Unfortunately there is no fridge and safe in the room.
Our mattress was quite hard, we did not like that, but probable someone else may like it. We had really nice breakfast and dinner these were delicious. The leisure facilities as sauna, steam room, swimming pool were right, but we couldn't book any massage (They didn't have staff).
The hotel area was quiet, friendly and amazing fresh.
We liked that.

Never go there. The room was untidy. The food was terrible. The pool and jacuzzi water looked unclean. We left early after one night. I have since developed urinary infection which may have been due to unclean water in the pool.

We stayed for two nights with breakfast and dinner included. We upgraded for an additional £20 each night. We were really pleased with the upgrade, our room was clean and spacious, enough room for a settee to sit and relax on instead of using the bed.
The hotel has a relaxing, personable feel and the staff were polite and helpful. This was from reception through to the housekeeping and restaurant staff.
The spa facilities were on the small side but clean and well organised. Unfortunately, the jacuzzi was out of order on our second day.
We both had a massage and this was excellent.
The food was consistently of a high standard and there was plenty to choose from, however, the wait in the evening for your meal was far too long and on the first evening our pudding had to be delivered to our room because the wait was so long.
We will certainly return to this lovely hotel. Great value for money.
