There are no spa facilities here as it's primarily a hotel that just offers a handful of spa treatments - I've not marked down due to this as I was aware of this prior to attending anyway and did not put me off. The treatment room is essentially just a hotel room, very well presented with lovely smelling oils and calm music/lighting too. The massage was unfortunately poor and not as advertised. It was supposed to be a "head, neck and shoulders" massage using REN products. What I actually got was a head massage also with a short 5 minute arm massage at the start all done with regular Johnsons baby oil. Considering this cost £45 for 30 mins, you can see why I was disappointed and unhappy. After the treatment, you're taken to a hotel room next door to fill out a feedback form and have a drink. The water offered was so strong in lemon it tasted almost like bleach - may just be a personal preference to taste here but it was not good for me and I barely had a sip. There was watermelon slices and grapes on a plate laid out which were all dry and warm where they'd obviously been out all day. There were also dirty plates and glasses left out on the table from previous guests throughout the day. Overall, I was disappointed and felt very out of pocket for the amount I paid vs the service I got. Unfortunately I wouldn't return for a treatment here and nor would I recommend it to friends or family.
I booked a couples therapeutic massage as part of my partners 30th night away. The staff were so warm and welcoming, extremely friendly and we both left feeling relaxed and wanting to book again straight away.
Great
There is no specific treatment area. An allocated space would be benificial rather than a converted bedroom.
I had a Deluxe Manicure and Deluxe Pedicure, whilst the consultant who completed the treatment was lovely, the overall quality was lacking. A Deluxe Pedicure - there was very little massaging of the feet more of a tickle... the Deluxe Manicure there was no hand / arm scrub and no massaging of the hands / arms. 2 days later I have had to remove the nail polish on my hands as it has all chipped and looks awful. The quality of the products was very poor - certainly not the REN products that are plastered all over the website. I don't feel the aviator should advertise themselves as having a quality spa when this is clearly not the case. It is quite misleading. The website is portraying a far more professional look and feel which is quite contrary to what you get.
