EDITA….I can’t praise her enough. As a black woman I had a bad experience at another salon which destroyed my curl pattern and left me with a banding of colour. I came here to restart my hair health journey. She was so knowledgeable about textured hair. She was so friendly and went beyond to help, for the first time in years I feel like I have found my new stylist. I left feeling so much better. 👱🏾♀️👱🏾♀️👱🏾♀️🥰🥰🥰🧘🏽♂️
I had an appointment for a blow dry and despite confirming the appointment by text only a couple of hours earlier when I arrived I was told my stylist was sick and someone should have called me. No one called and when I told the staff their response was that it was the contact centre and not their fault. Complete lack of empathy and poor attitude for the fact I had travelled a distance and was told to come back later which I was unable to do. Took my business to another hair dressers across the road.
I recently had my hair cut, coloured and styled by Katia at the Streatham branch, and I am honestly so happy with the result! I’ve been to many different salons before and have never quite got what I wanted. I don’t live in the area, but I work across the road and had always been hesitant to try Headmasters because I thought it would be too expensive. I decided to give it a go and I’m so glad I did!
My hair looks beautiful. I’m completely in love with the colour and the cut. Katia was incredible, professional, friendly, and she really listened. I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she delivered it perfectly. The whole team was welcoming and lovely too.

After a bad experience at a different hairdressers where they broke off a load of my hair with too much bleach for too long, I came here for advice and they have been nothing but kind and helpful.
I had a consultation and they were honest about what I need to be doing with my hair now and what to avoid as well as advised of different products to use (no hard sales pitch at all, just show and advice) and how to help my hair grown back.
I have since been back for 2 different appointments and I know my hair re-growth journey is in safe hands with Headmasters Streatham Hill
I have been going to this salon consistently for a few years but my experience today was extremely disappointing and left me very angry. I booked an appointment through their online system for 10:15am, received a confirmation email and showed up on time. When I get to the store, it is completely empty (other than one other client) with the door locked. I waited outside in the rain until someone opened the door for me and was met with instant standoffishness. I tell them about my appointment and they say on their system I was booked in for 10:00 and since I seemed to be more than ten minutes late they wouldn’t be able to cut and blowdry my hair. I showed them the confirmation email saying I was booked in for 10:15 and they shrugged it off saying it was not their fault as they themselves do not handle the bookings. She halfheartedly told me she could cut my hair and not blowdry them because she had no time before her next client at 11am. I was offered no apologies, just an attitude paired with “I can call the Balham store to see if they have availability.” I would not be as mad if I was shown the least bit of grace or compassion, but the stylist passed it off as my fault and I had to leave without getting what I booked for. Extremely disappointed with the costumer service experience and I will not be returning.
