Good experience but they charge £50 extra for prelightner and toner - it would be good if this was an option on treatwell
I spent over 4 hours there because there was an unhappy customer who my stylist was dealing with. My hair stylist was more concerned about dealing with the unhappy customer than me. I was on my own a lot + my hair was not checked mid way while in foil (just put and left me for 45mins) + my hair cut was done before my hair dye to make time for unhappy customer which meant it didn't look as fresh. 3 people worked on my hair. my hair is nice in the end but stressful experience
The treatment was called a ‘blow dry with luxurious head massage’. Well I kept waiting, but no head massage materialised, but worse - there was barely a blow dry. The hair wash was slap dash and done in about 3 minutes (I have thick hair, this is not long enough), then my hair was blasted with the hair dryer in no particular stylised way, just like the way you would do at home in a rush, then once dry my hair was curled using a hair straightener (because the stylist asked how I wanted the finish, and I said curly - which has always meant everywhere else that care is taken to curl the hair whilst blow drying using a circular brush). Clearly the stylist knew this would take too long and she couldn’t be bothered. The curls she did with the straighteners were good, no question, but this is not a blow dry, this is something I could have done at home for free. Also anytime I wash my hair or go to my normal hairdressers, it looks good for a week. 3/4 days later I needed to wash it again, which tells me the wash done here and the products used were insufficient. Add to this the stylist trying repeatedly to upsell a hair treatment to me - for the same amount again that I was paying for the ‘blow dry’, and calling my hair greasy (yes, obviously, I was there for it to be washed) when I repeatedly declined, the whole thing was a huge disappointment and a waste of money. I won’t be back.
Good service but salon was very busy with lots of people running around - almost chaotic and not really the premium salon experience I was expecting (based on the Headmasters website). My hairdresser worked very quickly and was done cutting before I got to the third page of my magazine. Despite the speed I do like my haircut and she styled it really well. I was also questioned quiet heavily before being allowed to leave about how much I paid and asked to show my Treatwell pre-paid receipt a number of times at the beginning and end of my appointment. They also tried to up-sell products at every opportunity, which became quiet uncomfortable after a while. Would go back, but don’t expect a premium experience, more ‘get them in, get them out’
Great haircut and very knowledgable hairdresser!
