Highly recommended 'oasis' in the heart of the West End! The aim was for a sleek blow-dry to last a full night out so, whilst I'd describe myself as a pretty easy-to-please customer, I greatly enjoy the feeling that the stylist can take charge with confidence. Stacey - from Goole :) - delivered that in spades. Appointment reminders came from Halo (as well as Treatwell) a few days in advance, verifying the exact stylist assigned too. On the day itself, luck with trains meant I arrived unexpectedly early. I popped in, more than willing to wait the 15 or more minutes til 4pm,..yet you couldn't ask for a warmer welcome and a lovely sense of being "looked after" right away. A good, firm head massage to accompany the wash was an unexpected bonus, fully setting the tone for this afternoon treat... To top it all off, Halo salon has a prime location in Covent Garden which makes it exceptionally convenient, wherever you are heading. I'd definitely recommend Halo and it's one I'll keep in the forefront of my mind for future nights out - thanks very much again guys!
Really took time to understand what I wanted. Great care and attention, friendly. Will definitely be going back.
Very happy with the highlights, my hair is lovely and bright. Nice salon in a great location with helpful and knowledgeable staff. Would recommend!
Stacey was really friendly and spent a long time looking at my hair and discussing what I needed before it was washed. He just seemed to "get" my hair type and the cut works really well. I've had lots of compliments already. I can't believe there's such a reasonably priced but chic salon in the middle of Covent Garden - I'll definitely go back.
Came to this salon based on all of the fantastic reviews you see here. Have no idea what went wrong. Walked in, waited. Intern washed my hair with almost-cold water, no head massage, nothing. Seemed surprised at the knowledge that not everyone has straight, fine hair and asked, "Is your hair always this knotted?". Felt humiliated. Went upstairs to receive cut and blow-dry from stylist. Asked me what I wanted, proceeded to tell me what she thought. Asked for an inch off, got 2.5 inches off. Asked for layers, got a straight chop. Asked for shaping around the face to lighten the weight of it up, she disagreed and cut it almost straight across the front. Asked for light curls, got flick ends. Just odd. I don't know what happened. I seriously never care about haircuts because I have such curly big hair so can rarely tell the difference anyway! But this made me feel so weird and upset. On top of all that, they made me STAND while my hair was cut. I expressed my discomfort at standing in the middle of the salon like a showpiece, to which they said "the is how every salon in London does it". In all my life - and even four haircuts in London this year - I have NEVER been made to stand! Felt awfully humiliated. As I left she told me to make sure I wrote a good review. Never felt such bad energy in a salon. Wanted to cry! So surprised at this given the amazing reviews. Might have just been a bad day for them….! Won't be going back.
