I have been going to Chi for almost 15 years now. A good hairdresser is worth their weight in gold and when you are lucky enough to find one, you don't let them go!
Hairdressing talent aside, Chi has many attributes that have always made me feel comfortable and confident and these include her ability to listen and understand what it is her client seeks, and her ability to be honest in whether that style or cut or colour would work for her client. Her listening and understanding skills translate into superb cuts, beautiful hair colour and the best conditioned straightening treatments. Chi truly is a talented hairdresser, she is always fully focused and dedicated to meeting her client's needs and is very reasonably priced. She is also great at time-keeping! I always leave the salon with my hair in tip-top condition feeling rested and fabulous!
I have received an excellent service at Hairlux.
I went to the salon with very bad condition hair. They were visibly damaged, frizzy, dull and totally out of control.
Not only the hairstylist did exactly the colour that I wanted for my roots (which is not an easy one..) but she also suggested a specific protein treatment to improve the overall situation.
With a dedicated work of almost three hours, she looked after my hair in a way that was new to me…none of my previous hairdressers has ever even suggested anything like that, which makes me wonder about the general lack of professionalism and care (but what the prices, instead!).
The result was amazing: my hair looked rejuvenated, stronger, smooth and brighter.
I even waited a couple of weeks before writing this review, as I wanted to see if it was just a temporary effect or a long-lasting one. And yes, I confirm that my hair has definitely improved since then to the extent that I now feel less embarrassed when it rains, as it doesn’t look like a lion’s mane anymore!
I am really grateful to C. for helping with that, I am sure that I will go and visit her salon very often in the future!
It was quite a weird experience which started off with arriving to a completely closed salon. Thankfully i had the hairdressers number as she had texted me the day before asking for photos of what i wanted doing (nice if you're looking for something specific, but i prefer my hairdresser to be the expert).
I was led into the basement of the salon, which was deathly silent with no music. This wasn't necessarily bad, just a little uncomfortable. The hairdresser was perfectly nice and did take time to look at my hair and its needs, including putting a treatment on.
But, she then left me alone in the empty salon whilst she went out 'for 10mins or so'. I wasn't totally comfortable with this and did leave me unnerved.
The actual haircut is ok. And she followed up with a text of the specific product she recommended i buy. An interestign experience, but not one i'd pay for again.

Chi is great!!! Her treatment is amazing.... my hair looks great! She understood exactly what I wanted!! Loved my hair cut!
