Quick and simple. Overall it was very good, I just needed a trim and the haircut was just that. Other places don't seem to listen when you ask for a trim.
Altogether I got a very good massage which was totally worth its price.
Pros:
- It was a great massage with good care of what my body needed. Unlike at other places, I did not have pain but still felt released after the session.
- Friendly staff and flexible in re-scheduling my session and in terms of what I wanted.
- The massage area was clean.
- The price is unbeatable for the service.
Cons:
- Indeed, the salon itself is simple and rather focuses on hairdressing, the massage is in a tiny room in the back of the place.
- The massage area and towels are a bit worn out.
- I would have liked to have the chance to choose the massage oil and music - little things but can make the difference.
After reading all the good reviews, I booked in for a deep tissue massage and no sooner was I in the room the therapist just said get undressed and get on the bed as he turned to leave, I was a bit taken aback by this. I asked him if he was going to do a consultation and by the looks of it, he wasn't, so I proceeded to tell him that I just wanted work on my back & shoulders which he seemed to take offence to and kept repeating, just back, just back, this is a different to what you have booked! Anyway, once I reiterated that I just wanted my back and shoulders done but for longer time as they were sore from training, he got on with it. Not a great start. As an experienced massage therapist myself, I can't say that it was a great treatment. He went in way too deep too quick and it was quite rough in parts, there are numerous techniques that he could have used to ease the muscle soreness without causing me so much obvious pain. I asked him to ease off a few times, he didn't - just kept saying that I need it! I get alot of deep tissue / sports massage as I train in sport and this was by far the worst I have had. I didn't relax at all during the treatment.
