Eyebrows were shaped well after waxing. I was listened to and the staff member was very friendly and put me at ease. I gave four stars instead of five because there were some hairs missed off (which I had to pluck myself after) and I got a cut from the waxing.
Hair perm: Given all the good reviews about the hairstyling experience here, I felt quite let down, especially since this was my first perm and I wanted to treat myself. I arrived and felt like the whole experience was rushed. Apparently they did not have enough staff for the day. My hair was washed once and I thought I had finished so lifted my head up, but then the hairwasher yanked my hair back so he could give it another wash because I would not be able to wash my hair in the next two days. The intention was good, but the execution could be gentler. The hairstylist was rushing between clients and myself that it felt like a chaotic atmosphere. The other hairstylist was either helping the first hairstylist or answering the phone. There was a lot of loud conversation between staff members which I thought was not professional. Some perming chemicals dripped down my face because the towels/ clips/ cotton pads were not secure. During neutralising, the male hairstylist asked his colleague out loud whether she was doing the right steps. This made me nervous as I was concerned whether my hair was going to be ok. I was then left at the hair washing station after the perming agent was neutralised with my neck extended for a long time and it got very uncomfortable. There could at least be a towel behind the neck or something to keep customers feel comfortable during the long process. We’ll see what the outcome is after a couple of days. I hope all the rushing doesn’t give me a botched first perm.
