I love coming to get my hair done at Hackney Central Space - B is so nice, it feels like catching up with a friend whilst having the added bonus of leaving with amazing hair. HIGHLY recommend!

Wonderful hair cut. I didn't get the stylists name but she was lovely. I usually hate the hairdressers but I loved it here and definitely going to carry on coming here.

Beaut Box is a new shared studio Space just by Hackney Central Station, with a nice open atmosphere; not too sleek, but comfortable and chic inside with plenty of light. The hair side of things is I think at the moment just run by Bernice, so the atmosphere is intimate inside, with just two hair stations and the sink for washing tucked away in the back for a little privacy. Bernice is lovely, and chatty, and talked me through what I might want from my cut. I had brought a photograph not of the cut I wanted but the sort of style I was interested in, and she talked me through how to manage and maintain the style I was after with my kind of hair (which is very straight and heavy; I wanted something a little loose and not too done up, with some rougher edges in the layers and some movement). She got what I wanted right away and talked me through the blow dry and how to use irons to achieve some movement in the layers, offering to help me if I had any trouble trying it at home. I went straight out and got some irons and though I haven't quite mastered the technique I feel happy and more confident, and the cut has stayed in good shape so far. I tend not to use hairdressers twice as though I am not precious about my hair I can be a bit fussy, but will definitely be back to visit Bernice! It helps that she is really lovely, too.

I was extremely pleased to find this new place in Hackney Central. It's a very cool place and B is an excellent hairdresser and lovely person. Really nice products, very relaxing, excellent haircut and blowdry and a bargain. Definitely going again.
