I've had a couple of bad experiences with hairdressers in London, so I was very nervous about yet another new experience. It was the reviews on Wahanda that drew me to Melissa at Samson & Delilah, and I was not misled! Melissa is a true professional. Knowledgeable, engaging, interested, talented, and excellent personality - very important in a hairdresser! She actually took the time to 'get to know' my hair. She was able to give advice on what direction I should take my hair and gave me a fabulous cut and style. I can't wait to go back to have my colour done. It's been a long time since I could sit in a hairdresser's chair, completely relax and be confident I will walk out looking absolutely fab. I think I've finally found that again with Melissa.

This stylish salon is in the heart of Hackney Downs Studios which makes you feel a part of the artist community there. I always feel confident and comfortable in Melissa's hands. She's listens to what I want and gives me useful advice throughout. I always leave feeling a million dollars.

I stumbled across Samson & Delilah Hair Studio on Wahanda and decided to try it out because of the other reviews (and it was near my house). I definitely have no regrets! The atmosphere is wonderful and (like other reviews say) the music selection is brilliant. Melissa and I had a conversation about what cut would best suit my face and I completely put my trust in her opinion. She explained every step of the haircut and gave me some tips for styling. My cut is a pretty radical change but so worth it! I'll definitely be back in six weeks for another cut-and maybe even sooner for a little splash of colour!
Melissa knows her stuff and really wants to make your hair work for you - no one has ever talked about matching my skin tone before. She fills you with confidence and did a fabulous job - my hair looks great. Lovely salon, great environment and a really good experience. Highly recommended!
Melissa's salon is cool, in a nice setting with a good cafe serving food, a florists and a bike shop nearby. The cost was pretty high but I felt like it did end up being worth it for me. Melissa herself is great, clearly knows her trade really well and put me at my ease and inspired trust very quickly (important when you are putting your hair in her hands!) she asked what I wanted, gave me a few ideas and slight tweaks to my plan, and talked me through the whole process. One of the best hairdresser experiences I have had, I will be going back.
