This was my second time here (the first time it was nice, only had pedicure though but the boss/owner was in the shop as well so I guess that made a difference) and this time I had an absolutely shocking experience with Ria (if I remember correctly)
I should have known it wasnt going to be okay when I was waiting for my turn before the treatment and the she was complaining about the previous client to me and the other client in the salon which I thought was quite unprofessional.
I had a gel manicure and pedicure with removal booked for 3-4.50 in the afternoon. Everything went well, she finished with my nails by 4.20 which I thought was a pleasant surprise and I did mention how early it was, she said it was because I was a "clean girl so she didn't have so much to do". When I stepped outside and looked at my nails I noticed that the coverage was very thin and uneven and I could see the pattern of my nails underneath. I am new to gel polish so I didn't know how many layers it needed but I did see it was very poorly done. So I turned around and asked her and she said well she did 2 layers as thats the minimum (..) (since then I learned usually they apply 3 layers for good coverage). I told her it needed to be fixed and thats when the craziness started. She said she would need to start all over again which she didn't want to do as she was about to go on a lunch break and that she didn't have time. I told her we still had half an hour left from my appointment so it shouldn't be a problem, but she said it wasn't true, the appointment was never thayy long (I had it written down) and she started being quite hysterical, constantly blaming me, asking why I hadn't checked my nails before, and why this and why that. After what it seemed talking to her boss she agreed that she would do it again but instead she applied an extra layer on the finished top coat!! it was horrible so I told her to do the job properly and thats when she really started having a go at me constantly questioning and blaming, and saying how I would have to wait for my turn if the next client turns up, how she couldn't eat anything, why I didn't check it before(??),and on and on and on. I asked her to stop having a go at me and let's just concentrate on finishing the job when she started shouting how rude I was and that she wasn't going to finish my nails at all and stood up and started throwing things around, lashing and generally being very rude and unprofessional. After that I just went silent, she calmed down a little and went on finishing my nails in a very strange manner.
This time she applied 3 layers which solved the issue with the coverage but they are still uneven and bubbly, and I am not happy with them.
I was absolutely shocked and humiliated by this experience and I will never step in that store again.
