I’d like to say that Maria the stylist was excellent: very friendly and thorough. I’m giving this salon a bad review, however, because of the receptionist’s behaviour. I came on July 4th without a face mask. There was nothing in the confirmation email I received to say I needed one. The receptionist was very upset about this, and made her opinions felt quite aggressively. She charged me £5 for a disposable face mask worth perhaps 50p or £1. It was an unpleasant experience.
Stylist didn't make any conversation or ask me to check the haircut until after it was blow-dried (I asked for a curly blowdry, so I couldn't tell what straight length would have been). Took about 20 min total including shampoo and mask. Stylist asked me to pay extra money on top of what I had pre-paid for longer hair (although I had just repeated the exact same treatment as my previous booking). All in all an unhappy experience; I couldn't wait to get out of there.
The staff here are great and they are skilled. Because it was their first day back post-lockdown, there were a few issues: they didn't open on time, they seem to be accepting bookings very similarly to pre-Covid times i.e. one right after the other, when you would expect some time needs to be taken to clean stations between customers. Consequently, my appointment took longer than it needed to, but the staff was very gracious throughout. I hope things go well for them.
Great
Fantastic experience. Face masks and dividers between seats. Lovely staff and great price. My hair feels fresh again since quarantine started
