The place is nicer than the sister place ar soho but lack a bit of decoration maybe. The staff was nice and I was offered a coffee, good blow dry. The only thing is that they don't have sulfate free shampoo ( for straightened air ) but I appreciated the staff to honestly say so so I was ok to go with it.
I've been at least six or seven times to this hairdresser now and am pleased with my haircut every time. They offer extremely good value for money and I always feel like the hairdresser listens to me, offering useful suggestions. The hairdresser on my visit was very efficient and pleasant. Definitely worth a visit!
The receptionist was very nice. But that was about it.
The hairdresser wore an anti-pollution mask and smelled of cigarettes. I had booked wash&cut, so he informed me that I have to pay an extra £10 if I want my hair dried. When I said that I don't need my hair dried, an awkward back and forth started. In the end he decided to dry my hair anyway.
Communication was difficult. Through the mask, I could not understand the hairdresser very well. And he didn't seem to listen to my (repeated) descriptions of the desired haircut. He kept saying that he would figure out the details later. He never did. The haircut is one of the worst I had in a while. Might have to go for a second round (in a different salon!).
During the cut, the hairdresser announced that the hair dressing gown annoyed him. So he turned it around so that the short part of the gown was in the front and it no longer covered my clothes. In the end I was completely covered in hair.
He was not very careful either. He hit my ears and face very hard a few times. Once when I jumped after one of these hits, he looked at my ear and said "It's fine. It's not bleeding". Great!
