I went to Gusto's for a cut. Unfortunately they had double booked me so I had to wait 25 mins after my appointment time until the hairdresser was free. Then before cutting my hair the hairdresser didn't check how much I wanted cut off, nor where my parting was, nor how I wanted the front cut or how I wanted it blowdried. I also wasn't asked if I wanted a drink or any magazines etc, though I could see other people around me were being asked (I then did ask after some time) and was bought some water and popcorn. The hairdresser was quite fast, cutting my hair in less than 20 mins, which felt quite rushed (the whole thing took about 30 mins, though the actual appointment was for an hour). The actual haircut was reasonable. I then had to make my own way out (i.e. go and get my coat and bag - just as well nothing valuable was in it as no one seemed to be watching the cupboard). I left feeling quite disappointed and will not be going back.
Started off well, with consultation and the hairwash and conditioning treatment was fine. But, the haircut itself I felt was very rushed and poorly executed - person cutting my hair seemed distracted (and pressured) by the client next to me who was waiting for her dye to be washed out (he told her 5 more minutes when he was halfway through my cut). Blowdry was rushed as well and I didn't even realise he was 'finished' with me till he asked if I wanted hairspray - had to ask him to cut my fringe and to take more weight off the back... (which seemed to fluster him and upset the client next me). My appointment was booked in for 50 minutes - but was more like 30! Left the salon, feeling very unhappy and a bit upset so I won't be going back.
I asked for something quite specific with the colour and my hair was given a lot of consideration before dye was put on it. I was given exactly what I asked for, and was very satisfied with the treatment. The cut was also very well done.
