I needed to cut off all my dead ends, he did just that and maybe a tad more, I had really long hair so it was a bit of a shock to have it shorter but my hair feels so healthy and overall I'm happy, he did check with me twice about the length he's going to cut off but I think the second time it was at a different place! But like I said I did need it and I'm happy
