Not the most luxurious salon but MARIO was fab. Great service/advice, great haircut and a great blow dry. Really good value for money.

The hairdresser was nice and friendly and that is where it ends.
I couldn't go to my regular hairdresser as I needed a haircut that day and made the mistake of going to this salon according to the ratings. Big mistake.
I went through great lengths explaining the cut that I want (which was the exact same cut I have but a bit shorter around some layers) and showed a picture of my own hair to clarify the front (it has been 2 months since my last cut.
I had to really explain and defend myself over and over again as the hairdresser tried to persuade me to take more off than the inch that I wanted and to change the shape of the cut. I had to keep on saying no.
The hairdresser kept on mentioning their seniority, how long they worked as a hairdresser, where they worked as a way to influence my decision, saying they see girls coming in all the time wanting something of a magazine which doesn't work for them.
And the hairdresser said thay they needed to feel good about the cut forgetting the most important thing that the client needs to feel good about the cut and a client usually knows their own hair.
This wouldn't have been so bad (I have had some terrible hairdressers) where it not that he didn't do at all what we agreed, cut it shorter and changed the cut. When I saw it I couldn't really tell where to begin so I asked if he could shorten some bits and I just wanted to get out of there. The hairdresser said "please let me know if anything needs changing". I was shocked that after all that they still went ahead and completely ruined my cut and I just wanted to get out of there.
Never again.
