Glo Beauty & Hair, have always been very pleasant and welcoming even before Covid-19. Now the pandemic hard on our heels and going back into lockdown it has been most difficult time for the salon and everyone else. However, the salon has been very positive and supportive in many ways than one. We are made to feel special and safe.
After long self isolation I decided that my roots were in desperate need of a warm happy colour. It also made me realise how grey I really was and it’s a look I did not want to embrace. Yes, agreed, a little vain 🤣
Initially I was very apprehensive about going to the salon after long period of isolation. However, my fears were immediately put to rest, the salon was well prepared, clean, sanitised and well organised.
The staff welcomed me with virtual open arms and made feel safe and relaxed.
After my hair was coloured and shampooed, I looked at my reflection in the mirror and there was a new me looking back. I felt young and beautiful again after a very long time.
Thank you Monica, Shannon and Farah at Glo Beauty & Hair, you guys are amazing 😉 Keep up the good work girls 👏🏻, we love you loads 😍

Avoid Monica ...I booked a Brazilian via Groupon and went for my appointment. She applied very little product and basically it was a waste of time and £55..after my complaint -she offered to redo it . Great - felt I was dealing with a professional now. On the day of my second appointment (which I had made time especially to attend in my now busy schedule post lockdown)- she had the cheek to cancel me a couple of hours before my appointment! I had only reconfirmed our appointment the day before! Her excuse was that she had got mugged/robbed in the salon a few days before hand and didnt want to be alone-surely she could have simply locked the salon door whilst treating customers if genuine. None of this was mentioned before even with the reconfirmation . I'm travelling in 2 days time and after letting me down, she wouldn't accommodate me at a time that worked for me which is the least she should have done after messing a customer around ..She was nice enough the first time around -but as soon as there is an issue,the aftercare of a client is where the class (or lack of ) a professional shows . People want 5 star reviews,but they should earn them . This review is genuine of my true experience with Monica ..previous reviews here and on other sites have also highlighted issues of same day cancellations... not great..also reviews after this honest one have been written by other salon staff rather than genuine customers (the pathetic giveaway is that they are claiming to be Monica's customers for 14 years..and just bother writing a review now? After mine? Its desperate and laughable!!) Its misleading and tantamount to fraud...the salon staff should actually be advising her to be professional as it ruins the reputation of all .Avoid at all costs.. unless you want to risk wasting your money and time . I dont recommend Monica at Glo ...after the years in the industry she claims she has- she still relies on Groupon for customers ,which says it all really . Customer isnt always right - but here she was extremely unprofessional...I've wasted 6 hours of appointment time and money . She expected her letting me down and dealing with things unprofessionally to be received with a smile and left unchallenged ..no way, I made very clear to her my disdain . Avoid...there are many other decent hairdressers around . Read their reviews .
Been for a lot of cacis over the years but this was by far the best I’ve ever had done.
