This is a salon near my house I had never visited before. I booked a wash, cut and blow-dry, on the morning of my friend's wedding. The price on Treatwell seemed like a good discount, but when I got there the sign outside made it clear it was one of those 'always reduced' offers, so the walk up price would have been the same.
The salon itself was very nicely decorated inside, and offered me coffee and had magazines to flick through. Seemed very clean and professional.
My stylist arrived at the salon late and began quickly washing my hair.
The haircut was awful. She cut it very quickly, without spending the time to shape carefully, or even up. The layers aren't really the length I asked for, and styling my hair since I have realised that the length isn't actually even. Very, very disappointing.
The blow dry was very bad. I asked for a bog and bouncy blow dry, with some curl towards the bottom. At the end of the blow dry, my hair was nearly straight and very, very frizzy. Completely wrong, and (by this stage I was very disappointed) I actually asked the stylist to improve the finish, given it was so far from what I asked her to do. At that point the manager came over and told me she was the best stylist they had, and that using tongs/irons to sort it out would cost me £10 more. At that stage I walked out, in order to sort my own hair before the event that afternoon!
Would strongly not recommend. I was very surprised, given all the good reviews on here, so it might just have been my stylist on that day. I will be going to another salon asap to make sure my hair is evened up again!!
