I booked a haircut for long hair (I have medium hair) restyle and rough blow dry for £35. I received messages from the salon before to confirm the appointment. During the appointment I asked the hairdresser not to blow dry my hair as the mask I had brought myself was feeling hot and I wanted to finish quickly. The hairdresser said that it was better if I had a blow dry as he could then check the cut. He did not say this would be a full blow dry (instead of the rough blow dry included in the price) and that it would cost GBP 13 extra to have a full blow dry. I had no choice in the matter. I was happy with the haircut. At payment I was informed the price was £48, a £13 increase due to it being a restyle (which I had already booked as such, so not the case, and PPE). I would have appreciated the courtesy of being told of price increase beforehand or during the cut, not at the payment point. Not doing so robbed me of choice and left me feeling disrespected.
