Here is my review of the Gentalmen Tonic in Mayfair:
I will start by saying I have been going to this establishment for the past 7 years and have never changed as I will explain below:-
Well from the moment you ring for a appointment the staff are always happy to accommodate you in anything that you need and are very professional. When I arrive at the establishment they have always made me feel welcome from the moment I step into the door till I leave. I always feel like I am at a friends house chatting about stuff and joking about life, what is needed after a stressful day at work.
The hairdressers (Omar & Imad) are very helpful explaining the style or if I have any other questions they are always happy to explain what to do plus they always do a GREAT job with my style.
When having treatment I have found the girls to also be understanding and help with any questions I have; when I went for a wax I honestly thought that it would hurt and I would be screaming the place down but when I had the treatment I have to say it didn't hurt at all..... so you know that they are professionals and know what they are doing. When I had a facial I felt fresh and felt totally refreshed (what was amazing as I had a heavy night before).
If anyone ask me where I go for my haircut and treatment I always tell them (I always get asked). I do look forward to go every 3 weeks and cant wait for my next treatments.
Honestly try it once and you are hooked!!!!!!!!!!!
I had not been to Gentlemen's Tonic in a long time and was not disappointed. If you like a really strong deep tissue massage, this is one of the firmest I have ever had. You often get massages advertised as deep tissue that are not at all very deep but this one lived up to the billing and just what I was hoping for. Facilities are excellent with a shower in the treatment room so you can wash off the massage oil -- always a nice feature.
This is a great men's only spa. It looks great with a men's club feel and is well located. I have been here a few times before but on this visit the therapist giving me a massage was not as good as others. I had some knots in my back that I wanted to work on but it was sometimes overly painful. I have had great treatments in the past but I get the feeling that the therapists that work on the weekend are often freelance and the quality can vary.
