Kelly really took the time to listen to what I wanted as my hair throws off warmth from most colours whereas I wanted a nice ashy blonde . Convinced me to have low lights and hilights and my hair looks so much better, plus I’ll now get a long longer between colours. Value for money considering it’s Chorlton and I’ll be back again.

The staff at Special FX were so lovely and I had a good experience whilst at the salon. The only problem was that I had noted the price as being £65 which I did say when paying (which is how it is currently advertised) but the stylist was adamant the price was £69.50. It is not a big difference, but nonetheless annoying to expect to pay a price that is advertised, but then told another.
Unfortunately also after my colouring there was a line across my fringe where the colour had gone wrong, the stylist applied some more colour at the time and it was blow dried in a way where it looked fix. Since coming home though and looking more closely in the mirror, there are some streaks and some very uneven lines at the back of my head. Some of the colour is nice, but overall quite stripey and uneven.

I received a text (not even a phone call) less than half an hour before my appointment saying they couldn’t fit me in. This was despite booking (and paying!) two weeks in advance.

Cut and full head of highlights were exactly what I wanted. Hair looks so much better. I also got a really good cup of tea! See you again soon x
