The manicure was fine in the end, but this wasn't a very good experience overall. The manicurist was very abrupt and communication was poor – it really felt like he was rushing and at the end he didn't even say he had finished, just got up and walked off. When I looked unsure, another manicurist had to explain he has finished and I could get some handcream if I wanted, which I had to put on myself. He didn't give me chance to even look at my nails before rushing off, and when I did I noticed lots of ragged edges. I couldn't see him anywhere, he eventually came out of the back room on his phone and I asked him to file down the ragged edges. He did so the end result was fine, but what awful customer service! I probably won't be back.
The service was reasonably priced, fast, the salon was clean and tidy and the selection of gel nail couloirs was great.
There were a couple of things that could have been better however, the aesthetician was very rough with my nail filing and cuticle clipping, and the gel polish isn’t very even with my nail being almost visible through the polish close to the tip and cuticle causing a pretty obvious ridge in the middle of the nail where it is thickest.
Also it should be noted that they only take cash, so I had to leave before my appointment to get cash from the bank, something they should probably advertise on treatwell and their website.
