I had a photo of the cut I wanted and my hair cut is 2 inches shorter than the cut. Also, it is lopsided which is frustrating

I went in for a shampoo, cut and blow dry. Cut was very good just what I wanted. I was asked If I wanted it dried after my cut. I found that rather strange considering I paid online for the shampoo, cut and blow dry. Was I expected to go out with my hair wet.
