First impression of the salon was not great: it is dated, run down and not very clean. I had chosen the facial which was supposed to take an hour. I was shown into a small room with dirty towels left on the treatment bed - a bit offputting. The facial was ok although the therapist was pretty silent throughout, it would have been good to know what she was doing and what she was putting on my skin. The facial lasted 30 minutes in total, far from the 1 hour indicated. Results of the facial were average. Even with a voucher I wouldn't return as I feel that there are much better deals out there.
Sservice was good. The therapist did a good job with the waxing and was pleasant. If it was closer to home, I would go again. Good value for money.
I decided to experience a contour wrap to continue the 'pamper me month' as I turned 40. When I arrived I was the only customer. The receptionist/therapist was pleasant and friendly. Once she explain the procedure and got me to fill in a questionaire, I was told strip down. Wearing only a pair of diposable undies she began wrapping me in thick, hot bandages soaked in some form of clay looking substance. Once completed I had to lie down for an hour and relax to allow the treatment to work. Even though I had a sweat suit and a robe on, and a blanket placed over me, I was very cold and started to shiver. overall I was told I lost 71/2 inches all over. Apparently that was very impressive for a first time user even though I actually don't feel or can see the difference. The venue is old and needs a fresh look. I don't think I will be visiting the salon again due to the fact it took me over an hour and a half to get there.
The Salon was quite close to and easy to find from the station. There seemed to be no one there when e first arrived though we were early. When we returned there still appeared to be no one there so we sat and waited. A lady appeared and told us there had been a mistake and we were not offered the full facials that had been booked but mini facials. Bit of a disappointment. We were then told we would have to wait a little as she was working on her own. The place itself was very small. The facial that I received was in my opinion not very special. The lady explained that normally she would steam my face but as I had broken capillaries she thought it best not to. Meanwhile my daughter in the other room who does not have broken capillaries was given a different reason for why she was not getting her face steamed before the mask went on. Basically I could have given myself a much better facial in more comfort at home without the hanging about. Needless to say I will not recommend this place or use it again.
Dirty, Small, Disorganised, DIRTY. this is a small run down nail bar on cricklewood lane and i knew the moment i walked in that it was a mistake, the whole place was filthy, and the staff were completely incompetent. I had a Universal contour wrap, which i've had before elsewhere, and it was very disappointing. my therapist didn't seem o really know what she was doing, she didn't wrap me NEARLY tight enough, and the bandages were Scalding hot so i kept having to tell her to stop (by screaming with pain!). Then i was left in a small, cramped, cold, dirty room with a dripping tap. I was only left for 30 minutes - not nearly enough time for the Wrap to work, but to be honest by that point i just wanted to get out of there! I love the Universal Contour wrap, it really really works, just not here. I wouldn't go back if you paid me.
