I turned up for a facial, only to be told that I'd booked for a hand facial (what is that?!). I was told that the full facial that I was expecting would cost another £75 but that it wasn't really appropriate for my skin anyway. I explained that my main concern was a stubborn blackhead and the practitioner then announced that she usually charges £50 for an extraction!!! It's unbelievable but I ended up just having one blackhead removed - which just took about 2 minutes and consisted of her popping it with her fingers. I asked about how best to manage it so it didn't keep coming back but she was more interested in selling me other treatments like Botox. I felt thoroughly ripped off and wonder whether the lack of clarity about the treatment was intentional just to get people in so she could upsell overpriced treatments. All I wanted was a simple facial!
