I always enjoy going to this beauty salon. You always get offered a cup of tea, which is great if you have been rushed off your feet all morning. They have a really good selection of finger nail colours and lots of magazines to read while you are waiting for your nails to dry. My nails were a bit of a wreck after the winter and the therapist did a great job of getting them to look nice again.
Bought as a present for my husband who really enjoyed it. Came home relaxed and said the massage was great. Would recommend.
As usual everything was excellent - I had a half leg, bikini line and underarm wax as well as eyebrow shaping and dying. I was in and out on time and the salon is clean and friendly as there is plenty of places to park either in the public pay car park across the road or free on side streets. Thanks again for great treatments.
This was my 3rd visit here and there were definitely no disappointments (not that I was expecting any).I can't remember the therapists name but she was just so lovely and welcoming, making me a coffee and explaining the procedures. The spray tan was natural looking and even which is what I had asked for and along with the mani and pedi lasted over a week. The salon itself is modern without being intimidating and parking is easy and plentiful, The whole experience was very pleasant and enjoyable and I would highly recommend them for any beauty treatments.
Booked in for an Alpha Beta MD Skin Peel with the lovely Helen.
The place is easy to find and there is parking nearby. The salon is spotless, really nicely decorated and the staff lovely.
The only criticism is that the young girl at reception (I think she is new and in training) was rather awkward when greeting me and didn't offer me a cup of tea, which would have been appreciated as it was a chilly day. However, I am really supportive of young people starting a career and absolutely sure that the lovely staff will pick up on that and train her, so she is better next time, as she seemed really nice.
Also, I have to say as I am so very conscious of how bad my skin looks at the moment, due to hormonal breakouts after having a baby and the stress and sleep deprivation, that I have never been made to feel bad of my skin and all girls are really welcoming and helpful.
It does take a lot for me to go anywhere without make up, but never feel bad in this place.
About the peel: very gentle, although of course it tingled at times and gave me great results at a time when my skin is really at its worst (post baby hormones make me break out like never before).
Helen is amazing and such a professional. She talked me through the treatment, gave me an amazing shoulder, neck massage and did a great job, as my skin is now much better and that is purely a credit to her and her skills.
At the end of the treatment she gave me some samples of Mary Cohr products and I booked in for another facial with her again. Eager to see if the other facial will work as well as the MD one as not fully convinced about Mary Cohr products and their suitability for acneic skin.
I would highly recommend this salon. Everyone here is a real professional and have yet to come across a place with better customer service and friendlier people. Also if you can, book in with Helen, she is simply wonderful, both as a person and as a professional.
