The Spa itself was clean, relaxing and enjoyable but the swimming pool was quite cold and both my friend and I couldn't stay in for a very long period of time. Also I don't feel that the staff took enough notice of our pre-evaluation form as I mentioned that I have very sensitive skin but the scrub was quite vigorous and the cream used afterwards brought me out in a sore rash.
Booked for 9 as a birthday treat, can't fault the package we received although we all booked additional treatments which were cancelled at the last minute due to a therapist going sick so we were all very disappointed. We felt maybe they should have got an agency therapist in or offered some compensation, considering they lost hundreds of pounds from us and one main reason I chose the spa in the first place was the treatments they offered. Only thing we could also suggest would be improved was the female therapist seemed to rush our included treatment a lot but the male therapist seemed much better, giving a more relaxed experience. Hotel was beautiful, didn't feel that we were in a budget hotel at all, restaurant and reception staff very helpful. Food was on the whole very good. Would definitely come back.
Lovely facilities and friendly staff. The restaurant food was delicious and the waiters were accommodating to our vegetarian needs. Spa treatment room could have been positioned a little better, as unfortunately we had to walk through the wet floor of the swimming pool. Lovely treatments and therapists were considerate.

Excellent Service . Very enjoyable visit - highly recommend Service in restaurant was particularly good. Spa facilities excellent. I would definitly return here. Very good location for Reading town cente.
