Dr Ingrid Wilson is a specialist in hair loss with a background of 20 years in General Practice. After personal experience of hair loss, and realising that training for GPs was limited, she embarked on continuous learning about how to help people with hair loss using a holistic approach including nutrition, health, cosmetic camouflage, wigs, hair pieces, platelet rich plasma, diagnostic imaging software and now DNA testing. She trained in Trichology with the Institute of Trichologists between 2010 and 2012, being the only person in her cohort to gain a distinction grade in both years, and was the winner of the prestigious John Mason Memorial Prize for excellence. She is a member of the British Hair and Nail Society, Affiliate Trichologist Member of the British Hair and Nail Society, a member of the Society of Cosmetic Scientists, a Medical Member of The Trichological Society and a member of the British Association of Skin Camouflage. She has hairdressing qualifications from the National Beauty Institute for Afro hair so that she can perform basic hairdresser services.
