This was horrible, I won't be going back. I should have walked out but had already paid and was embarrassed. It wasn't clear but don't be fooled, this isn't a Tony and Guy salon. It's just a 'rented space', which seemed a little dodgy.
There was no space for the pedicure, the lady did it at a haircut station 🤦♂️. There was hair everywhere.
After about 10mins wait, she put my feet in like warm water to ‘soak’. The pedicure itself was cursory and curt, this wasn't friendly and there wasn't any conversation. Half way through the lady as caused me of filming her (I had to show her I was reading the news on Twitter).
Kind of feel I should have, for evidence.
The pedicure wasn't comfortable or relaxing. It was rough, poorly done, a rip off and should be avoided.
Christine kindly took extra time to take off a special powder shellac I had put on in another salon. She took so much time and care to make sure my nails weren’t damaged as it had made them very thin. The new shellac is perfect.
Great central location and immediately seen with no wait. It's a very small, single table in a hair salon, so expect the noise of hair dryers! The lady who worked with me was nice, relatively professional and really excellent at the actual painting of my nails - filled in every part of it and no bumps!
However, this is NOT a manicure - I believe it's more an issue with Treatwell than the salon, because when I said I was there for a gel manicure, the woman immediately told me its a shape and paint. As an extra courtesy, she fixed my cuticles but it was all dry ie no soaking in water, which was a real shame. Additionally, the colour selection is quite limited since it's only shellac (they had OPI too but not available with this).
Overall good, a bit pricey considering it isn't a full manicure.
