I booked a shellac manicure. Got there and had to remind them that I had an appointment at 13:15 when they tried to seat two girls that came in for 13:30 appointments ahead of me.
I then sat down and the lady asked what I was having. I said shellac. She nodded and said ‘full set’ - I nodding thinking it would be weird to have only half of your nails painted. She then chopped off my nice long nails right down to the skin and proceeded to give me what I realise now is a full acrylic manicure. My nails now look hideous - so fat and chunky with weird bits of plastic sat underneath them but by the time I understood what was going on it was to late. I then had to pay extra for the privilege. Very unimpressed, immediately looking for somewhere to have this removed and wondering if my nails will recover in the next 6 months.
