I don’t like leaving bad reviews, so before sharing my last experience I just want to start by saying last time I went to the salon I had a really good experience. I think I’ve even had this hair dresser before, perhaps a year back. My friend also goes to the salon and has good experiences. I think my hairdresser was just having a bad day. It started with an aggressive half hearted hair wash, she combed my hair so hard it actually hurt. Then proceeded to cut my hair at a rapid pace, taking off an inch more than agreed. Then asked to take some weight out, I was hesitant as my hair doesn’t always react well to that. I asked her to explain the what she was doing and implications (as I had asked for a blunt cut and thought it would thin when I straighten it). By this time I am also quite concerned as it’s now above my shoulders than below (as agreed). She was on a short fuse and just threw the scissors down and said “well you clearly don’t want it so I won’t”. I hate confrontation and awkward atmospheres so in the end just said fine do it. I genuinely couldn’t get out of there quick enough. I’m a little upset as I trusted her to cut it to the agreed length, but it was cut at least a inch shorter, which at this length makes a big a difference.

They did not know what they were doing and made me feel very uncomfortable calling multiple people over to help. I have curly hair and they acted as if they had never dealt with curly hair before. I came in asking for highlights and I ended up with orange roots and the same colour throughout the rest of my hair.
