I went here a couple months ago and Carla did an amazing job on my hair I had a full head oh highlights, cut and blow dry. It was very busy but the staff were very friendly and although it took a little bit longer then expected, it was really worth it after as I really loved my colour and cut, which is why I have rated my experience as 5 stars.
However, I went back there today to get another full head of highlights and blow dry with Carla, and unfortunately my experience was not as good as it was the last time. Carla seemed to be the only person taking all the appointments today and she had nobody else there to help her. My appointment started at 10am and I didn’t get to leave the salon until 1:15pm. My highlights were very rushed and not as good as they was last time, and I spent a lot of time waiting to have the colour rinsed out, because Carla was doing colour treatments, hair cuts and blow dry’s for three other customers as well at the same time. Also, when I left the salon I noticed the back of my top was really wet.
I don’t think any of this was Carla’s fault, as it was quite obvious that she was trying her best to see to everyone and do the best that she could. However I don’t think it was fair on her or the customers that the salon was so understaffed today. It was a shame that due to the circumstances, Carla wasn’t able to do my highlights as good as she did them last time, and I didn’t want to say anything to her at the time as she was already under a lot of stress. Unfortunately, not all of the customers today were as understanding as I was, which was slightly awkward to watch and caused a bit of a tense atmosphere. I hope that next time my experience will be much better as I really do like this salon.
