There were problems with the temperature of the wax - sometimes it was unbearably hot - and overall it was a lot more painful and slower than other waxed I’ve had and more hair left behind. Also some wax was dropped onto my shoes and clothes. The lady who did the waxing was very nice and apologetic about the inconvenience, but the experience as a whole wasn’t great.
Cleo clinic is lovely and informal and very well priced.
The only improvement is it would be lovely if they played background music to create a relaxing ambience.
The ladies there are absolutely lovely!
Prices have recently increased by £2 for waxing and £1 for brow threading, however overall still great value. Happy to see that they have gone back to using the original wax after briefly switching to one which I was allergic to.
I wouldn’t go again! The place opens at 9.30am on a Saturday and yet the staff are not ready to greet their customers, they are all out the back. I took a seat and wasn’t spoken to until I complained. The staff come across as rude because of the lack of any communication! I had a luxury pedicure - it was anything but luxury! The lady was hoping I’d choose a red colour polish so she wouldn’t have to remove all of my previous colour. She only used a pumice stone, and when I asked if she could use a metal file, she then had to clean one in the next footbath to me, as it was still dirty from the day before! The base coat did not reach the edges of my nail so when the colour coat when on it was uneven from the earlier coat and a couple of the polished nails were rippled and starting to peel by the time O got home. I don’t usually bother to write reviews, but the whole experience was beyond disappointing. That was my first time there and it will definitely be my last!
