I've been a hair stylist for three years, having completed my Advanced Level 3 in Hairdressing. I love all things hair, but my true passion lies in colouring—especially balayages and highlights, as they allow for creative techniques to achieve different looks. I even entered and won a Lee Stafford Hair competition!

About
Alex Martinez is the founder and creative director of Ciscos Karma (est. 2008) and an internationally experienced hairstylist and educator. Cutting hair since age 12, he trained at a family‑run Italian salon The Gallery in Tunbridge Wells before joining TONI&GUY, working across the Uk and in Barcelona and beyond. He has taught at colleges and salons and was a regular at the London Academy. Beyond the salon, Alex styles for fashion shows, photo shoots, and high‑profile events—including Miss Great Britain, magazine cover shoots, Christoforos Kotentos shows, and the catwalks at London Fashion Week.

At Ciscos Karma we pride ourselves in offering a more personal service and an alternative to the big brand hair salons on the high street.
Our hairstylists are trained to a high standard in a full range of services. We use only the highest quality products by Redken, or for a natural alternative try our Organics range.
Relax and unwind in our glamorous beauty rooms tucked away in the heart of the Brighton Lanes. Our experienced beautician can do your nails while you have your hair done.
Choose from a range of massages and facials using Germaine de Capuccini, alternatively try aromatherapy or reflexology.
