I booked a deep tissue massage as a gift, but the treatment felt more like a Thai massage. Deep tissue is usually slower and focused on working deeply into the muscles to relieve tension, while Thai massage involves more stretching and movement. Because this was meant to help with muscle pain and recovery, it was different from what was expected.

I was really looking forward to getting a massage and this was unfortunately not the experience I wanted. The techniques used were not typical of a Thai massage and my shoulders have been left aching painfully due to the masseuse using excessive pressure. I requested to use less pressure multiple times but she kept returning to using more pressure on my shoulders despite me expressing it was painful.
