This nail salon is tucked away on Neal's Yard , above a hair salon . The staff didn't speak much English but were polite. I was given a chart to choose my gel nail colour. I was seen on time & ushered to a spot on a row of about 5 nail stations . Unfortunately not offered a drink . The technician did my nails very fast in about 20 mins which I was initially a bit concerned about but they still look good a week later ! I wasn't aware it was cash only but luckily I did have enough on me to pay . They initially charged me ยฃ35 but after I explained I booked online I was asked to pay ยฃ29, on production of the booking email . I would recommend if you want a fast service & are not concerned with feeling "pampered " as my nails do look good , but I didn't feel it was a treat really as there were no luxury touches. They seem to have staff available for walk ins so I'd think this would be a good place to go on short notice.
The end result is great and I love the colour. However, this was after going back twice. We got there a little bit late as my friend and I both had gel manicure for the same time. We both wanted the same colour so once our hands were filed and dry, one technician did my friends and I had one painted nail whilst he finished and came and served me as the lady I originally had went and served someone else. The manicure was rapid, both done within 15 minutes and then when we left the salon I realised there was a chip in my thumb, went back and they filed it down a layer and repainted it. Left the store again and then realised that the repainted nail was almost a different colour to the other! Almost a red rather than pink. So we went back again for them to take the whole nail off and repaint it. If theyโd taken 5 extra minutes originally this wouldnโt have happened. I wouldnโt rush to go back to this salon again
