Friendly and welcoming staff. Salon is quite worn and you can hear very clearly the conversations whilst in the treatment room. Whilst having the facial the therapists phone rang multiple times, once even answering and having the call for a few minutes. Facial itself was nice, and therapist did ask and review my skin and was knowledgeable. Nice head massage too.
Maria did a great job with my gel manicure - she was friendly, thorough and professional. It was my first time at Cher Salon and I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's a really nice little salon with a wide range of treatments I'd like to try in the future!
First of all, I am not a groupon customer (since that seems to be the salon's response to all negative reviews on google, though they "mysteriously" no longer show up on google maps so all the bad review have disappeared) I paid full price and hugely regret it!
Came in for highlights and cut between Xmas and new year... I've debated with myself whether or not to leave a bad review but since I can see they're still selling loads of groupon vouchers I want to avoid anyone getting terrible hair! The salon itself is pretty disgusting too, with a mish mash of furniture and decor from every decade in the last century, all in varying states of disrepair. It didn't feel very clean either.
Should've known something was wrong when they very quickly rough dried my hair after washing, and immediately tightly curled it with straighteners even though I said I wear my hair straight with a tiny bit of wave in it. Now I realise the 00's prom queen curls were there to hide the bad cut and colour! If you're a blonde, this is the worst place for colour - unless you like the Ginger Spice brassy stripe look in which case carry on. It looks like my layers were cut with garden shears, and the combination of cut and colour this bad means I've had to wear my hair in all sorts of different partings and styles to hide it.
Left it so long to leave this review as I was hoping it would fade/settle and turn out nice, but no - it's got worse and the fat stripy highlights have got more obvious as it starts to grow out. I've got an emergency appointment booked with my usual hairdresser soon which means this mistake is costing me a fortune - I can normally go months between trips to the hairdresser but not this time!
These people shouldn't be allowed near a salon, let alone call themselves professionals. I've got photographic evidence of how awful it is, but nowhere to put them since they've disappeared off google! Treatwell should have them banned.
