Mandie is one of our tutors in the Academy. With over 35 years experience in the industry she really knows her stuff, especially when it comes to colouring. Mandie has her Wella Master colour award which makes her very knowledgable when it comes to hair colour. Anything you need to know, Mandie's your women! Mandie will always let you know what will look best for you and always give her learners the best advice to achieve the best results.

Gemma joined the Academy in 2020 as a tutor & assessor. As a Salon owner herself she is very passionate about the industry. Gemma loves being creative, short hair cuts, restyles and being able to create something new. If there is anything you ever needed to know about hair up & styling then Gemma is the lady to go to as she recently competed internationally for Northern Ireland & the world championship in Paris 2019. Each student learns at their own pace, and Gemma believes it's a matter of understanding each other and figuring out what works for each individual student.

Donna is Head of Education at the Academy. Donna has been in the industry since she was 16 and has loved every moment! Donna still works as a Colourist & Stylist in a salon and runs a full column and believes this is important when it comes to delivering training to our learners. “Practise what you preach” keeping her eye on the ever changing fashions & styles Donna always teaches the most up to date skills. Donna also has her Wella Master colour award which makes her incredibly knowledgably when it comes to hair colour. As Head of Education Donna over sees all the learners on their practical & theory learning and looks after the learner when it comes to their “END POINT ASSESSMENT” which is their final exam to achieve their NVQ qualification. To date Donna has a 100% pass rate on our learners EPA !

Jodie is a highly skilled & creative hairstylist. Jodie works in a local salon based in Letchworth Garden City where she manages a busy column, making her clients look amazing! Jodie has a passion to pass on her skills to other and will be making guest appearances in the academy to teach our learners.

Tilly is currently exploring taster sessions with us, in readiness for her to start an apprenticeship at a local salon in Sandy from August 2024.

Danny runs his own group of Salons and around 15years ago had the vision to set up a training academy and partnered up with Central. The academy has grown year on year and is now proud to work with local salon owners to provide training to their apprentices. Danny has incredible hairdressing talent and loves passing on his skills to others. You will see Danny in the Academy as a guest trainer. Photography is another huge passion of Danny’s and he looks after our images for any competition work we enter

Emma’s background is in the Beauty industry & joined the hairdressing industry around 11years ago where she is a Salon & Business Manager to a well established Salon. Over the last few years Emma has become involved with running & growing the Training Academy, and in 2021 became a business partner in the Academy. Emma loves making new relationships with other local salon owners to provide training for their apprentices.

WE ARE OPEN MONDAYS, TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS!
Head to Central Herts and Beds Biggleswade training academy for an affordable and quality hairdressing service.
All our trainee stylists are always overseen by a fully qualified tutor/assessor with many years of experience in the industry.
Services will take longer than an average salon service, so please make sure you have allowed enough time for your visit.
Colour & Cut services can’t be carried out on the same day due to the amount of time these services require.
A SKIN TEST IS REQUIRED AT LEAST 48 HRS PRIOR TO ANY COLOUR BOOKING.
