Second time i've booked a place through treatwell.. let me start off by saying i absolutely hate leaving a negative review & don't want to do it. The staff were very nice. But the hair. I'm sure this is an alright place to get your hair cut but please - please do not go here for anything else. I bought a full head of highlights, wanting to stay close to my natural light brown colour, just freshen it up a little. I showed photos of light brown, natural looking hair. She showed me colours she was thinking about doing and I immediately flagged to her I didn't want to be blonde and that those hair colours she was showing me looked massively contrasting (which by the way had to pay an extra £70 for.) I've walked out with peroxide blonde and black streaks circa Christina Aguilera in the video dirty back in the day and I'm scared to even wash my hair it's that brittle from over bleaching.. Black roots that have choppy chunks where the peroxide blonde starts. Will post a photo on their facebook page for anyone who wants to see. Everyone that knows me is in actual shock about how honestly shocking the colour is. And I mean shocking as in you look at it and you're like wow, there's no other word for it other than shocking. Hair feels like straw. Have had to wear a hat to work and when I leave the house until I could get an appointment at a new hairdresser (for a £450 fix.). Was shoved in a corner behind the only three hairdresser chairs while hair was developing. I trusted her, she sounded like she knew what she was doing. As soon as she washed out the bottom half of my hair it was like BLACK/WHITE and I've never seen myself go into shock so badly, let alone that she thought it looked great. She was lovely and I didn't want to hurt her feelings, but even after I pretty much started crying right there in the chair about the destruction of my trademark light brown, bouncy healthy hair nothing.. no real effort to help, I paid and ran out the door crying. No care for the hair or integrity of it whatsover.. Hacked at my hair with a brush and my hair was pulling off into it which she then hid.. I will not be booking any further hair appointments through treatwell.
