Loved the spacious rooms downstairs but did not enjoy the fact that the therapist did not even ask me whether I had sensitive skin and, therefore, did not use the right type of waxing for my skin. The waxing was ok in the end but could have been done better. Great offer though, as I booked in the morning for later the same day.

I had a treatment wash and blowdry package. Firstly, they didn't leave the treatment on for long so (if this was a treatment or perhaps just conditioner), it only stayed on my hair for 30 seconds at most.
I was really unhappy with my haircut, which I haven't felt since I was a kid! I told my hairdresser I wanted only a trim. She showed me the length she intended to cut, which was well over an inch. I said less to her, twice, showing her exactly how little off I wanted! I know it probably needed a good amount off, however I only wanted a half inch or less.
She asked me if I wanted layering and I said a little bit, but again wanted to keep my length. She ended up chopping quite a substantial amount off - at some points, at least 1.5 inches bringing it from my shoulders to above my chin line!! I know have a really choppy, 3 levels of layered 90's style haircut. I'm pretty peeved!!
The salon itself was really nice and other customers seemed pretty happy with their experience so it's a real shame I had this bad experience.

Great experience getting my hair washed, cut and treated here. If you're just having hair treatments here, I would definitely recommend this place. However, when I got my wax, when I entered the room, it hadn't been cleaned since the previous customer (used paper still on the chair, trash on the counter) also, when I was getting waxed, I noticed the the technician wasn't changing the wooden tong after every use...this is standard practice for cleanliness. Also, the one room I had booked for my pedicure was taken so they set me up in a chair in their window and had me put my feet in a portable wash basin and then onto the lap of the pedicurist. It was awkward and uncomfortable. That being said, my hair turned out great.
