Fantastic overall experience, took me a while to find my regular waxing salon but am always glad to come back to Brasil Hair! Diana is the best trained beautician I've been to here in London and always consistent.
My blow dry from Brasil Hair looked great - but unfortunately the other aspects of my trip weren't as good. I booked on my lunch hour and I have mid-length hair so chose the 35 minute blow dry - when I arrived at 1pm, they weren't ready for me and by 1.20pm I was still having my hair washed. The longest appointment for blow dry they even offer is 50 minutes, so with a 1pm appointment I should have been done by 1.50pm latest - but at that point I had to tell my stylist that I had a meeting at 2pm and really needed to go (half of my hair was curled and half wasn't!). He managed to finish my hair by 2.05pm (so 65 minutes after my appointment) - at this point I was late for my meeting, so I couldn't eat lunch and was in trouble at work. The salon didn't seem super clean, old bleach-stained towels were used and hair hadn't been swept up. The whole time very loud conversations were going on between employees so it was impossible to relax. I requested a partial refund as my treatment was really expensive for a blow dry and then wasn't a luxury experience at all and had started and finished late - it was denied.
I was met at reception by Amanda the nail technician and led downstairs and had my manicure. She was very professional and my manicure still looks great 3 days later. I would recommend her and the salon. The only thing that was a little bit off is that it actually isn't called Brasil Hair on the storefront so I thought at first I was in the wrong place. But great experience and I will be going back for my nail needs.
It's a no frill treatment sort of place, worth it if there is a promotion. It was all good ... except for a bad start: the girl at reception did not let anybody know I had arrived and stood just out of sight texting. The treatment was done efficiently and professionally, with care and attention by a genuinly nice person. The space is well decorated, but could have been cleaner (the floor looked greasy with many foot and shoes prints).
My therapist was very comforting and friendly and made the painful waxing process more enjoyable. The room was clean and hygenic. I would definitely go back. Although had problems with my appointment and think the company need to look into there booking system as i had to re arrange my appointment because of a mistake on there behalf and whilst in the salon they had more clients who had the same problem. Not to much of a problem for me though.
