Organisation was TERRIBLE!!! Had trouble booking using treatwell voucher, they said they didn't accept. Treatwell then phoned hotel direct and managed to book a room. I managed to book my spa treatments after being given 3 separate numbers. Only to receive an email a month later saying that had changed our times and myself and friend were not booked together. I rang up and sorted it out and times were reverted to original booking. I also rang up to book a table for the lunch which was included, but was told no need to book. When I arrived on the day, was met with a £10 parking fee which was not stated at any point, they had moved my spa treatment times AGAIN, and the restaurant said I DID need to pre book my lunch. So the communication/organisation aspect was an absolute sham, beyond belief...............but, once all of that was sorted, we had a nice weekend there. The facilities were good, although Steam Room not working. Staff friendly and helpful, food was excellent.
Had a lovely visit to hallmark hotel and spa. The facilities are good, with a well equipped gym. Sadly the steam room was out of use. The cream tea was lovely and staff very pleasant and efficient. The only down side is the changing rooms which are very small with only one shower in the spa changing room. However I would go again and recommend a visit.
Everything was just perfect for my and my partner.. The room' the bar' the spa' the outside seating area clean and tidy. Very welcoming.. Loved every minute of it..
Good massage however really disorganised staff bickering in front of customers and passing people from pillar to post and that was just to arrange the car parking space! Wouldn't come back.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Treatment rooms were clean and fit for purpose, if not luxurious, and the staff were professional and pleasant. Our cream tea was satisfactory and so was the service. Unfortunately the spa facilities were tired and in need of upgrade. The pool area was very dark and felt dismal rather than relaxing. We decided to have coffee outside on the large patio which led onto a grass area with sun beds. It was such a pity that the tables were dirty and the floor covered in cigarette ends, some of the plastic sun beds were broken and there was litter on the grass. No one was clearing up the mess and although it was only 10.30 the staff member who served us coffee was wearing a stained uniform. The worst issue, however, was the ladies' changing room which was appalling. All I can say is that my friends and I regularly do spa days all over the south of England and this was the first time we have ever decided to get dressed after our treatments and shower at home!!
