Absolutely loved the spa. Good value, very attentive staff. Only disappointment was our food included as part of the deal. Voucher stated lunch but afternoon tea was provided instead. One tea was gluten free and bread was inedible. Also asked for reassurance it was nut free but my daughter had a mild reaction so there was a trace of something that fortunately didn't provoke a full reaction. All other teas were delicious and restaurant staff friendly.
Swedish Massage
It was very difficult to contact the Spa reception by phone. I tried leaving two emails and three phone messages and had no response.
Overall the staff in the hotel were excellent.
Room was good and warm. Wish I could say the same for the public areas which were very cold. No heating on. I was cold in the bar and restaurant. This will definitely put me off from visiting again.
Food in restaurant was good but not good value for money. However, breakfast was excellent.
Eyebrow Waxing
All staff were friendly and polite however there were quite a few issues on arrival we were told the had run out of robes and that there were no lockers available which meant we had to keep our bags behind the reception desk and keep going to get them when we needed anything , we were provided with an extra towel but that didn't help with privacy as we fetched our bags back and forth not making a very relaxing visit, the changing room was tiny and inadequate and there was only one toilet which due to lack of space someone was changing in ! furthermore there were wet towels and empty cups in abundance cluttering up the chairs and tables obviously no longer in use as we were the only people in the pool at that time the place looked unkempt and uncared for not exactly a spa experience, We enjoyed our facials but the reception area of the spa was filthy the sofas were stained and there were rolls of dust and dirt under the chair as it is such a small area I imagine its not that difficult to keep clean overall we would not be recommending it , My daughter (also a Mum)and I were looking forward to our mothers day treat and came away very disappointed .
