This was my first visit to the salon after the birth of my son. I had to bring him with me, as my childcare fell through last minute and the ladies there Mary & Denise helped keep him happy while I had a mani, pedi and highlights! I cannot thank them enough!
For my first pedicure in many many years I was left feeling rather disappointed.
I arrived at the salon at 9:55am to find it closed with the shutters down. I looked at the opening times and say that it opens at 10am. My appointment was booked for 10am so I would’ve expected them to already be open and ready for clients.
The staff arrived to open up at 10:10am. We went inside and I waited for them to prepare themselves. My treatment finally began at 10:30, which was fine as I wasn’t really in a rush.
Denis was lovely, she was very apologetic and sweet. While she was doing my pedicure she gave me advice on how to keep my feet in good condition which was nice.
Unfortunately the treatment felt very rushed and was not very relaxing. She was finished by 11:10am, which was disappointing considering I had booked in for a full spa pedicure which was supposed to take 60 minutes AND a callus peel which should’ve taken a further 30 minutes. I expected to receive treatment for 90 minutes and my actual treatment lasted just less than half of that. Not very happy considering I paid £60 & really received just a basic pedicure.
Unfortunately I have anxiety issues and therefore have problems with confronting people there and then regarding things like this. I feel like if I’ve booked certain treatments for a certain amount of time I shouldn’t have to complain to get it, it should be done in accordance with what I’ve booked.
So sadly, although Denis was nice, I will not be returning. I left feeling unsatisfied, rushed and a bit cheated if I’m honest. I know I should’ve said something while I was there, but when someone says “ok that’s it your treatment is finished” I just get up and go because it would’ve felt very awkward to have any further treatment if I’d had to complain. Hopefully the salon can take this on board and improve.
