I booked an overnight stay, breakfast and treatment for my daughters birthday to have the benefit of. Spa day experience plus.
Despite the lovely surroundings the attitude and poor communication from the spa receptionist let the whole experience down majorly.
We were not shown around the spa to allow us to see where everything was, I was asked when requesting a robe ‘ do you really need one?’ - we did not feel welcome and special which is what I have always felt on the numerous spa days and overnight spas I have had over the years.
It really affected our whole stay as I had spent hours looking for a hotel with spa facilities for this treat and had spent a lot of money to have a lovely experience- just one persons attitude can really burst your bubble of enjoyment and unfortunately dominated alot of our discussion over what was meant to be a fun 24 hour birthday treat.
