My wife and I always really look forward to a massage when we go away.
We both feel we need another one to recover from these!
They were without question the most unrelaxing, painful massage we've ever had.
I actually winced at one point, so the woman asked if it was OK, so I told her it was a bit hard, but she carried on using the same pressure.
My wife had the same problem with the hot stone massage.
The rest of the spa was decent enough. Very good sauna. Pool area was nicely lit, but the space around the pool for the (very nice) beds was too cramped.
All in all, I wouldn't go to that hotel again if I wanted a spa break.
Overall a relaxing visit although personally I found 30mins too short, so spend another 30mins in the relaxation room which was great to meditate and continue the relaxation. After treatment I was pleasantly surprised by a glass of water and a plate of small treats, this was a really lovely touch. The massage itself was great, good pressure. The only thing I would criticise would be the value for money, I think the full price of £35 is too much for only 30mins. Also, the room and relaxation room wasn’t sound proof so occasionally you could hear doors slamming or people talking outside which made it hard to concentrate on the music and ambience of the room. It would have been 5 stars if the massage had been longer (better value for money) and if the environment was quieter. Apart from this I was very happy.
